------------------------------------------------------------------ Misery just loved Aaron. That was what he assumed, nothing else made more sense then that. He had finally gotten out of bed - to be more precise - he had finally pushed himself out of bed to get to school on time, only to find that his first class got canceled. For a small moment he laughed at the whole matter and then shrugged the thought off his mind, making his way to the nearest couch. He fell on to it, not really caring if his actions were considered rude. He was too tired to really worry about that little, petty thing. Besides, as far as he knew, the school was packed with students who weren't the nicest people to hang around with. And the teachers had some security-issues to deal with probably.. Like missing hybrids or something. People that have it even worse than him. Aaron couldn't help but find it comforting that those weird little gifted humans weren't quite the lowest of them all. Or well, weren't the main target at the moment. Whichever version works for him quite well.
He yawned slightly before putting his hand in his schoolbag. Biting his lip out of habit, he searched for a while before pulling out a notepad and a pen. Sure, wasn't the greatest way to pass his free time. Sure, maybe it was cliche that the one who didn't have as many friends unlike others around him drew in his free time, but who cares? He did funny sketches, not sketches on woe-is-me-so-alone. He didn't care about that, he was bored and that cured the illness, so to speak. And besides, he was alone because he didn't like /that/ many people in the school and well, not many people understood him. Well, understood him in a way that when he said something, he probably didn't mean that as an insult or something disgusting. Aaron's been living with his weird, quirky & 'sharp' humor for seventeen years now and doesn't get why.. well, people don't get it.
Now all he had to do was to make some use of his free time left before another dreadful school day started.

From what Harmony had heard, all first classes had been canceled because another hybrid went missing. That was just what she had heard, though. You could never be sure with all the gossip that flew down the hallways. She heard the majority of it as well, as she tended to drift from crowd to crowd depending on her mood. Some days she might hang out with the populars (those days were rather interesting) and some days she'd just be a loner. The loners were a lot nicer than the populars, that she had learned rather quickly. But Mony still had a reputation that she had to keep and could not unfortunately hang out with them all of the time without rumors about her flowing through the halls next time.
A soft giggle escaped from Har's lips at one of her many friends comments. She merely said her goodbyes, gave a small wave, before moving down the hallway. Being popular and having unlimited friends was nice at times, but it could also be a bit of a pain at times. Having to hang out with many people hardly gave her time for homework, but she usually just did that at night since she did not sleep regardless. It was an unusual balance that Harmony had such an easy time with. She ran a hand through her smooth hair, before slipping it up into a low, loose ponytail that rested on the back of her neck simply. It was an easy style to maintain and take care of, and also did not require much time or effort. Perfect for her and her busy schedule.
Harmony's clear brown eyes looked around the Entrance Corridor, looking for something to do or some one to talk to now that her prep friends had disappeared off somewhere. The fell on a boy that she could easily distinguish as human with her advanced senses. His back was to her as he laid, so she moved silently across the corridor. She could tell what he was drawing briefly from a distance. It seemed like a type of comedy sketch, or something among that category. But it was a good drawing, especially for someone who's eyes were not nearly as sharp as her own. She knew he must be gifted to be here, and wondered briefly what his gift was, so to say, before speaking softly as she was a mere foot behind him. "That's good."

------------------------------------------------------------------ Aaron was startled after hearing the sudden voice behind him, hopping in his seat for a moment. The notepad jumped from his lap but because of his plain, pure luck he had managed to catch it. Regaining his composure, he turned to see who the speaker was voice owner was. He didn't make an effort to hide his surprise seeing who the girl was, probably more because his heart was still beating out of his chest from the dumb action he had done before. 'Great way to make a first impression,' he chuckled in the back of his mind. Lowering his eyes he gave out a smile, hoping his voice wouldn't be as shaky as he thought it would be. ''Oh, yeah, thanks. You should see the sketch I did about one of the new teachers this year,'' He said and gave a friendly smirk.
He had seen the girl around the hallways before, or in school generally. Well, he noticed every pretty girl in the school, and with a good memory like his - it wasn't that hard. He did remember seeing her with the crowd people here labeled as 'the popular folk', but wasn't entirely sure if she could be put into that clique. Well, the whole part of her at least. Cause after all, she was talking to him and the populars usually stayed together, not socializing with people they didn't know. Aaron has always found it funny that in the midst of werewolves, vampires and other creatures, labeling and being in a clique was as popular like in a normal high school. Aaron had and still has found it ever so ironic. And oh it was always so entertaining when people labeled him in a group. Emo, loner, outcast or nerd. That are the four most common 'cans' he was placed in. Though Aaron desperately hates the emo line. Wearing converse can't make anyone 'emo', nor listening to a few bands that are listed as emo-bands.
Since Aaron was only a human, he couldn't have been entirely sure who the girl was. But he wasn't one to judge, at least, until the other one wanted to eat/rip his head off. Then, avoiding not-judging would be extremely difficult. Aaron coughed to clear his head, he had once again started to ramble in the back of his head. He was delighted to see that the girl was still there and hadn't fled, so he made a gesture with his hand for her to perhaps take a seat. He wasn't sure if she'd take it, so he didn't keep his hopes too high. ''I'm Aaron, by the way,'' He said and held out his hand for her to shake.

A almost sheepish expression crossed Harmony's features as he jumped. She hadn't meant to scare him, though she wasn't sure why Harmony thought that she wouldn't when she had been so quite where it was likely he wouldn't pick up her coming. He was clearly human, she could tell by his scent. The blood was tempting, the kind of blood that just made her want to bend over and drink from him. Of course, it was likely Harmony would either kill him or accidentally turn him into a vampire. There was the possibility of drinking without killing or turning, it was just extremely hard and took years of practice. Even though Harmony was a good few centuries old and had chosen to stop aging, she didn't think her control was that good if she was thinking about killing him sub-consciously. Then again, Harmony was pretty thirsty.
Harmony allowed a soft chuckle to escape her lips at his comment. "Your welcome," she said, her musical voice still soft. She never felt the need to be especially loud, especially when the person was right there. She just didn't understand him, and from what she could tell he didn't seem like the type of boy who was always loud. Harmony knew many people like this, and with her sensitive hearing it could be bothersome. But just thinking this made her think of something else that she did not speak of. Harmony played with the hem of her shirt for a moment, lining it up and straightening it before focusing her brown eyes back onto him. Harmony looked up just in time to notice him motion for her to sit down. She smiled as a silent thank you, before moving gracefully to sit down and cross her legs, despite she was just wearing shorts instead of a skirt or dress.
"I'm Harmony," the brunette spoke shaking his hand. It was warmer than hers, almost an uncomfortable amount of heat for her. Harmony was used to this, slightly, despite being a born vampire and having so many people she knew be her own, cool temperature. She was just glad she wasn't one of those traditional vampires, she loved the sun even if she wasn't going to get any tanner. "So I guess all the classes really did get canceled, or at least the first class of the days." She said, trying to make small talk. She didn't dare bring up as to why they could have possibly been canceled, that rumor was just truly cruel to the hybrids. She thought that they should just be left to live, they had as much right as anyone else. You didn't see people killing non pure-bred dogs, now did you? It was practically the same situation in her eyes.
[[ tis fine. not bad either. ]]

------------------------------------------------------------------ Aaron wasn't used to such cold and he was quite surprised at the depth of it. He was now sure that the girl next to him was a vampire, which made him think that Harmony was quite an ironic name to have. With all the blood drinking and etc. But Aaron had to confess that there was a lot of grace in her, that there was something written on her face that he almost couldn't believe that she could easily tear him apart. Literally. Even before Aaron knew about this school he was fascinated of vampires and other creatures. Although he didn't know they were real back then, he was still curious. He still is, although now, he has become more & more used to all of those story-book creatures being alive. After all, he does encounter them on a daily basis.
It was kind of a comfort to know that he wasn't the only one whose first class got canceled, though by knowing that, it really came clear that the hybrid-problem was.. Well, a big problem. ''Yeah, yay us.'' He spoke in irony. He could have easily still be asleep back at his dorm, which was a shame in his mind. But looking on the bright side, he actually met a person today, so it wasn't all that bad. Sleep was another thing that got him curious about vampires. Eight hours of sleep a day seems like a colossal waste of time for him, but they didn't have to worry about that. Then again, on the downside, you've got to be awake 24/7 for eternity.
He shrugged the thought off and turned his attention to Harmony. He didn't want to push too far with the whole hybrid-thing, just because he was a little coward and didn't really want her to attack her. Even if he didn't believe that of her, he never could tell. Aaron didn't really want to stay in silence, a thing he disliked and fiddled with her fingers for a while, his hands rested on his notepad. ''How old are you?'' He asked and then wondered if that was something that was a normal question to ask a vampire. He just felt rushed, because Aaron wasn't one to like silence, even when he was alone. He scratched his head for a while with closed eyes and spoke, ''You don't have to answer, I was just,'' he paused, trying to find the right word. ''Curious,'' he said and gave a small smile. ''I'm seventeen,'' He told and shrugged, his smile remaining for a few seconds. He could only imagine seventeen years were nothing when you were immortal. He wasn't sure why he told her his age, perhaps maybe so that he'd seem open. And not so weird.

An awkward smile crossed her face at his comment, which was clear to Harmony that it was intended to be sarcastic. In a rather hushed voice, she asked rather bluntly. "Have you heard the rumor that another hybrid disappeared, which is why all the first classes were canceled?" She didn't know how up to date he might be with gossip. She tended to be rather up to date, and it helped that she drifted from group to group with this. That was actually how she heard the majority of the gossip that flowed through out the hallways. Not that that was necessarily a bad thing, she liked to know what was going on in her surroundings. She was rather observant, but could not be everywhere at once.
"Uhh...well," Har wasn't quite sure what to say with his question. She wasn't even sure of her age herself, and had just made up a physical age that she could pass for now that she was here. She had been alone recently in her vampire life, occasionally running into other vampires. Which was quite an adjustment for her, as she was certainly a people person and had grown up in a well sized family of pure-born vampires. It was in her blood to be a little social butterfly. She knew she was certainly quite old, as she had been around when they thought that the world was still flat and you could fall off the edges. Those had certainly been interesting times, that she did remember! Quite humorous as well, even she had been fooled though.
"It's quite alright that you asked, as you aren't the first that has asked that question. I was just trying to remember...it's been a while since I've been with my family and have forgotten a bit. My memory isn't among the best." Harmony gave a simple shrug of her shoulders as he spoke for his own age, which did not surprise her as she had done the same before so people didn't necessarily feel awkward and feel like they were being forced to answer the question. "I guess I'm seventeen as well, or at least that's what I believe my physical age is. Somewhere around there. I'm centuries old, I've been around for a while." She knew older vampires, though, so that really was nothing compared to some vampires that wandered around the large planet. Nothing major, nothing extraordinarily exciting. It's not like she had been alive during the Roman Empire or Middle Ages, though that would have been quite exciting!

Aaron raised his eyebrows at her question. ''What? Again?'' He slightly sunk in the sofa, a rather mad expression on his face. ''Seriously, the whole things a little too Harry Potter for my likings,'' He muttered and shook his head. He meant Harry Potter in a way that pure bloods didn't like half bloods 'mud bloods' and etc. He then looked at the girl, thinking if she was one of those who also bashed hybrids. She was a vampire, but Aaron found it hard to believe that she would go against them. But then again, he wasn't that good at reading people, nevertheless vampires. They somehow always could contain themselves more, hide their emotions.
He bit his lip when the girl stuttered at first. He knew it was a bad question. It was common knowledge that you didn't ask girls of their age. And with that said, it should have been simple that when you could live for thousand of years, people shouldn't ask you about your age. What a stupid thing to do, he concluded in his thoughts. Nevertheless, he awaited for the girl to speak, as she seemed to, at least he thought she seemed to think about it.
He nodded slightly, listening to Harmony speak. He did feel that he put her in a bad place. But when she told the part about her being centuries old, his eyes grew larger and a smile came across his face. That was, in his point of view, entirely amazing. She was there when all of the inventing took in place, where the technology developed, people changed, style changed, everything changed. Aaron would have loved to be there. Who wouldn't have wanted to see the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, AC/DC. Ah, he would have loved the 1960s-1970s. 1969 was the year when Woodstock took place, he most definitely would have wanted to be there.
Aaron realized that he had been in thought with all the rock and roll and etc. ''Wow, thats... Awesome,'' was all that he could mumble.

"Yeah, again. The whole thing's getting quite out of hand, and I've picked up bits and pieces of some of the professor's conversations about it, apparently it's been happening outside of Tokyo as well. Not that that would exactly be comforting." Harmony explained, looking down at the ground. She glanced up at hearing him speak agani. Her eyebrows furrowed at his comment about Harry Potter, a look of confusion crossing her face. She wasn't quite sure what he was talking about with the name. She didn't known any Harry's, or a Potter family for that matter as well. She was clueless as to what he might be speaking of. Probably most girls of her physical age would not be in the same predicament, but she was not always too up to date with American or English things. But she was French, and could not help it. But not many new that about her, which left many people curious about ehr since she didn't speak of her past very often.
Harmony at this point had pressed her lips into a thin, tight line trying to see if she knew what he was talking about. "Umm. . . I'm not entirely sure what you mean. I don't exactly know who Harry Potter is." She smiled awkwardly once again, showing a full set of straight, bright teeth that were near impossible to achieve. Except, there was a single (or, a pair if you preferred) flaw among the straight teeth that almost appeared normal. There were two sharp teeth that she could hide easily with a normal smile, though her smile was strange as she hid them. There was no need to when on school property, as everyone there already knew that she was a vampire and would expect no less than an even little pair of fangs placed where a human's (or most other species for that matter) canine teen would be.
A small, musical laugh came out of Har when she heard his comment about it being 'awesome'. "I suppose it would be awesome, as you put it, to be living as long as I have. You are one of the few that agree, with the price that comes along with be an immortal. Though, it does have some interesting advantages I will admit. I'm young compared to some, but I suppose that young vampires are good for gifted humans. Some of the elder vampires like to turn humans such as yourself, as seeing as you are gift, though what your gift is I don't know; nevertheless some see it as an oppurtunity to gain power. I would really stay away from those paticular vampires if you cherish your humanity. . .which you should." It might be a bit of a rant, but that was just her feelings. Some people might see her as a bitch for speaking her mind so easily and freely, but that was just the way she was.

''Thats just so stupid,'' Aaron said and shook his head, emphasizing on the word 'so'. Because it was, truly stupid and lame. But in the midst of their conversation, Aaron understood that she wasn't a big fan of all those hybridnappings either. At least thats what he assumed. He was pretty sure that if she were to think that hybridnappings were okay and rightful, then she would have spoken her mind about it. So it was comforting to know that they were similar in that way. As he mentioned Harry Potter, he observed her facial expressions. This was when his stomach turned in a slight knot. Aaron hoped that this time, he was dumb enough to misunderstand her expressions.
As she confirmed that he wasn't that dumb, Aaron scratched his head for a few seconds. He was so happy to see that the girl took it lightly and hadn't started whining. Still, it was very weird for him to actually picture someone not knowing who it was. ''It's a book series thing - well, there are a few movies based on the books nowadays too - which pictures a world where wizards and witches are real. Like us, they don't expose themselves to humans and etcetera. Like us, they have a school for wizards and witches and inside that school, theres like a hatred between purebloods, the ones whose mom and dad are both wizards and..'' He paused, to see if the girl hadn't completely died out of boredom while he was rambling. Figuratively speaking of course. ''Halfbloods, like hybrids in our school. So a lot of stuff goes on and.. Yeah, that pretty much sums it'' He said and took a deep breathe in. He decided to spare her from being more confused, so he didn't even go in the depths of the houses.
His eyes were locked on her sharp teeth for a few moments, but soon they shifted from her mouth to her pretty brown eyes as he listened to her involve in sort of a ramble herself. That definitely made him feel better regarding his own blabbering habits. He listened to her and had to admit that she had a point. It would have been wicked awesome to sit in history and say 'I've been there, done that' but then again, it came in a high prices. ''Okay, yeah, I guess it's cons over pros,'' He said with a small grin. He wasn't sure if she wanted to know his so called gift, he could not read her that well, so he hesitated a few moments, thinking if he should or should not tell. ''Weather manipulation.'' Aaron stated, ''Thats my gift. I suppose its called weather manipulation'' he added and gave out a slight shrug. He wasn't exactly sure.

"C'est la vie," Harmony muttered under her breath in French, shaking her head toward herself. Life could just be extremely stupid at times, and this was definitely one of those times apparently. She ran a hand through her pony tail, only half of her mouth twisted down into a frown that didn't belong on the angelic appearing face. It was amazing how deceiving looks could be, and a bit hilarious at times as well. She was one of the most deadly (if not the most) creatures at the school, and was twenty-four seven no matter what. Yet she almost looked like an angel, perhaps if she had blond hair she would fit in better. Most of them were blonds, and it just made them look indescribably angelic. It was quite amazing. But she would never be one of them, she was damned regardless as far as she saw it.
Har listened carefully as he explained it. So apparently it wasn't who, but more of a what than anything else. She was only slightly surprised that she had not heard of it, as it sounded like something that might be popular among humans. And perhaps it was, she just didn't no. "De ja vu, much? It's almost like the author knows about us, which is a bit creepy." She said, a rather thoughtful look across her face. Maybe that was just the way she saw it. But she mused that if one read the books and such before learning about the well hidden world, it might be ironic in the exact opposite way. She wouldn't be able to know, so it would never be answered. She had many other unanswered questions, some that were best unsaid and left without answers. Some were just not the best to answer, as she didn't need to look like a complete and total freak to others.
Unfortunately, Harmony did notice his eyes hover over her lovely little pointed teeth before meeting her eyes. She had gotten used to the staring for the most part, but that did not mean she liked it. "I'm probably contradicting myself, which I do a lot, but there are a lot of fun things we get to do. Most people don't pay much attention after the whole blood sucking thing." She said, shrugging simply. The speed was amazing, the detail you could see in was fascinating. Her eyes lit up at his comment about what his ability was. "Oh! Wow! That's absolutely fascinating." She said, her features now extremely kind and not at all slightly sour from their talk about the whole hybrid disappearance, which was certainly a nice change. She didn't like talking about such things, and avoided it at all costs.
