Tokyo scared the US girl. It truly did, starting from the Japanese language and ending up with how she always got lost in the big city. Not that she had good orientation anywhere. But a few days ago, she thought that going to Ginza to get clothes would be awesome. But it ended up as a total whirlwind of 'oh my god i'm so lost crap.' After that, Aurelia decided that it would be wise to not actually travel around much farther from her dorm for a while. But after a while, after another friday night sitting in her dorm, doing nothing, she understood that staying in all the time had started to take a toll on her. Nerves, foremost. And hearing other people all talk about how much fun they'll have didn't exactly help either. So, Aurelia sat on her bed for a while, wondering if she'd really surrender to the impulse she was going through. Aurelia really wasn't one to even think about going out alone, it was peculiar in her point of view.
But then again, maybe now, since she had enrolled in a whole new world, it was time for change. At least thats what she told herself to talk her into it. After a while, she debated, thinking about the pros and cons about going out alone. And with just one 'pro' in mind, she started getting ready. She just didn't want to be lonely. Not today, not anymore. Dressing up and getting ready was the easiest part. Aurelia remembered that she had heard someone distantly talk about a a bar slash club that most of the students went to a couple days ago at the most. She was intrigued, thinking that perhaps that was the place where she should go, if she should in a way find the force within her to step outside of her dorm, that seemed to be her shelter at the moment.
And she did. With little effort in scooping around google she even found the address. Just to be safe, she took a cab to the pub, club or something in between. The cab driver wasn't great in speaking English and Aurelia sure as hell didn't know how to pronounce anything in Japanese, but after a while they found common ground. Aurelia did hope in the back of her mind that the ride would take longer, but in little time she found herself in front of the hassle of 'Glasses and bottles'. As she watched the cab departure from her she knew she had no other choice then to go inside. Getting in was much easier then she imagined, noting that the legal age was twenty. Meaning she had still three, long years ahead of her.
Once she was inside, she felt more at home. A small smile even escaped her lips as she found herself in the back of the counter. She didn't go through all of the psychological drama within her for nothing. ''Mazama Infused Pepper Vodka, please'' she asked the bartender who had been so kind to wait for her decision. Distilled and drunk all over the world, vodka truly was a global spirit, Aurelia had to admit that. But then again, she wasn't really a cocktail type of girl. At least she liked to believe that in the very moment.
