Personality: There is no way to describe Aurora in a nutshell. Digging through the layers of the girl takes time and effort few are willing to put forth. She’s not simply “the bad girl” or “the smart kid” although both make up aspects of her. After all, she’s been alive for nearly five hundred years. She’s not so simple that she can be summed up in a few short sentences. What many will notice about Aurora first is the pride and superiority complex that seems genetic to dragons. She can’t help but walk through the halls or down the street with her head high and her chest out. Being among ancients her entire life and knowing she too will outlive so many has given the small dragon community a bit of an ego. Aurora can’t help that ego. She spent a majority of her life in the den with other dragons. She is also very intelligent for her age, both as a human and a dragon. She’s young by dragon standards but is far more mature than many of her kin. When in human form many see a seventeen year old girl and suspect the maturity of one, even in a school where people are never as young as they appear. Aurora has a head for history since she lived through a decent chunk of it and reading is one of her favorite past times.
Aurora isn’t the social butterfly that she sometimes wishes she was, especially now that she’s around others who look the same age. She was raised in with others who sit around on their hoards laughing about catastrophic events that devastate the outside world. Talking to others isn’t really a strong suit of hers and many mistake this for rudeness. Aurora isn’t trying to be cruel. One of the most crucial things she lacks is this little thing called tact. It all comes back to her inability to socialize. She never had to consider her popularity or such silly things. There was no real point. Coming into high school she’s not faced with people who don’t like her for things like her shoes. It’s all lost on her. All in all she’s an earnest person just trying to find her place in a somewhat normal society.
If you can handle the harsh truth to “does this dress make me look fat” then being around Aurora wouldn’t be too hard. She doesn’t spit fire, literally or figuratively, too often. A dragon’s scales are among the hardest substances in the world and she’s got the skin for any trash someone has to dish out. However, if you can’t take the heat don’t annoy the dragon. Smoke, fire and brimstone are a quick shift and potentially broken ceiling away; followed by a world of pain.
